# Change your password

You can change your account password at any time from Settings.

## Change your password

Open **Settings → My Account** and choose **Change** next to **Password**. Enter your current password, then your new one. Notate checks that your new password is strong enough before saving it.

## What happens next

For your security, changing your password signs you out on your other devices, so you will sign in again there with the new password. If you have end-to-end encryption turned on, only your password changes, and you keep the same recovery phrase.

## Forgot your password?

If you can't sign in, use the **Forgot password** link on the sign-in screen to reset it by email.
