Notate keeps a safety net under your notes so a mistake is never permanent.

## Version history

As you edit, Notate captures snapshots of a note at an interval you choose in **Settings** (from every save up to once an hour). Open a note's history to browse past versions, compare them side by side, and restore an earlier one.

## Trash

Deleting a note or folder moves it to **Trash** rather than removing it outright. Open Trash to restore anything, or empty it when you're sure. Trash is swept on a retention schedule you can configure, so it doesn't pile up forever.
