Record the room,
keep the notes

Related notes from your workspace surface while you record, so context is right there when you need it.
Offline maps are on track. Maya has the region picker wired to the tile service, size preview is next. Devin landed the download estimate and starts elevation charts this week. Let's bump trail conditions ahead of photo waypoints
Recording modes
Multiple ways to record
and transcribe
Choose the recording mode that fits your situation. Capture the full context with attendees, decisions, and action items in Meeting mode. Record key concepts, definitions, and summaries in Lecture mode. And use Memo and Verbatim modes to capture notes using your voice.
On the go
Record a lecture
from your pocket
Start a recording on your phone and Notate captures the whole class or conversation, then hands you the finished note when it ends.
The recording keeps going even if you lock your phone or switch apps.
The result
A clean note,
not just a transcript
When you stop, Notate structures the transcript into a titled note with a summary and the key points, filed wherever you chose.
It is plain markdown like everything else, so you can search it, quote it, link it, and edit it right away.
Maya, Devin, Priya
The team walked through the map view and focused on how a region gets chosen and what the app tells you before it downloads anything.
- Region picker moves onto the map itself, not a list.
- Show the estimated download size before the save confirms.
- Warn near the device storage limit rather than failing the download.
- Maya to wire the region picker to the tile service
- Devin to land the size estimate, then start elevation charts
- Priya to move trail conditions ahead of photo waypoints
Common questions
What can Notate transcribe?
Meetings, lectures, and quick voice memos. The transcript builds as you speak rather than after you stop, and when you finish Notate turns it into a titled note with a summary and the key points, in plain markdown you can edit like any other note.
Which plan includes transcription?
The AI plan. Recording and transcription both run on it, and the usage is metered along with the rest of your AI usage.
Can Notate record both sides of a call?
Yes, on the desktop app. Meeting mode captures your microphone and the audio coming out of your computer at the same time, so a remote call is transcribed in full rather than only your half. It is available on macOS and Windows.
Never take meeting notes by hand again.
