Subscriptions and multiple accounts
Subscription plans are tied to Notate accounts, and they work across every device you sign that account into.
Web Subscriptions - Multiple subscriptions, multiple accounts
On the web app you have the ability to create as many accounts as you need. Each account can subscribe to a Notate plan. There are no limitations on how many accounts you can create or how many can be subscribed.
Mobile Subscriptions - Single subscription, multiple accounts
On iPhone and Android, subscriptions are purchased through your Apple or Google account, and a store account can hold only one subscription to a given plan. Because we attach that subscription to the Notate account you’re signed into, one store subscription pays for one Notate account.
If you’re signed into a second Notate account and try to subscribe that second account, the store will say you’re already subscribed. It won’t allow you to buy the same plan twice on the same Apple or Google account.
Paying for more than one account
If you deliberately run more than one Notate account and want a paid plan on more than one of them, you have two options:
- Pay for the extra account on the web at notate.md. Web checkout isn’t subject to the store’s one-subscription limit, so each account can have its own plan. Your features unlock everywhere you use that account. (Recommended)
- Or purchase from a different Apple or Google account on the device.
Moving a mobile subscription between your accounts
To apply an existing store subscription to a different Notate account, sign into that account on the mobile app and tap Restore Purchase on the Plan & Billing screen. This moves the subscription to the account you’re signed into. A store subscription can only be active on one Notate account at a time.
