Set up sync
Sync keeps your notes in step across every device, adds the web app, and backs your notes up to the cloud. It is part of the Sync plan.
Create an account
Open Settings and sign up with your email, or sign in if you already have an account. Your existing local notes are claimed into your account the first time you sign in.
Work across devices
Once you are signed in, changes sync in the background over a live connection. Edit on your laptop and the note is on your phone moments later, with the same folders and tags everywhere.
Offline still works
Sync never gets in your way offline. Keep writing with no connection and Notate queues your changes, reconciling them the moment you reconnect.
