Editor tabs
Notate lets you keep more than one note open at a time, so you can jump between them without losing your place.
Open notes in tabs
On web and desktop, open multiple notes in tabs, much like a code editor, and switch between them with a click. Drag a tab along the row to change its place. To see two notes at the same time, drag a tab to the right or bottom edge of the editor, or right-click it and choose Open to the Right or Open Below: each pane then has its own row of tabs. See Viewing two notes side by side.
Seeing where a note lives
Hover a tab and Notate shows the note’s full title, which the tab itself truncates, along with where the note lives: the folder path on web, and the file’s path on disk on desktop.
On desktop, right-click a tab for Copy path and Reveal in Finder on macOS or Show in Explorer on Windows. On web the same menu offers Copy link.
Your tabs are remembered
Notate remembers which tabs you had open, so when you come back you can pick up right where you left off.
